Do you want to feel mentally and emotionally balanced as you move through your day-to-day life and in your relationships? Then focus on the CORE! Just like our physical core keeps our body centered, stable, and aligned so we can freely move about our day regardless of the activity, our mental and emotional core keeps us stabilized so we can interact with ourselves, others, and our circumstance in a balanced manner. Strengthening your core, mentally and emotionally speaking, is the key to breaking free from poor self-esteem, boundaries, denial, dependency issues, and control issues.
Based on the work of Pia Mellody (Facing Codependence, 2003) and expanded by other clinicians (Jan Bergstrom, Rick Butts, Terry Real and the instructor herself), this class is an overview of these five core practices: 1) Self Esteem; 2) Boundaries; 3) Humanity/Reality; 4) Interdependence; and 5) Moderation.
We hope you will come learn how you can strengthen your core so you bring your healthiest self to your relationships, work, and social interactions.

Anxiety and Teen Girls…why are the numbers rising? Girls age 13-17 are navigating so much in today’s world and it leaves many of them with feelings of low self-worth, being overwhelmed, an overactive mind, pressure to perform, and anxiety about the future.
Does your daughter seem distracted and overwhelmed often? Is she expressing feeling a lot of pressure around her academic or sports performance? Do you notice that the fear and apprehension of social interaction hinders her (not online, but face to face)? We do not believe this needs to be the “new norm” for teens!
This class & support group is led by Hannah Fay, a specialist in child and adolescent therapy and Katie March, a former counselor at Xavier University’s counseling department. Hannah and Katie understand the pressures teen girls are facing. They will help your daughter find new coping strategies for dealing with stress and anxiety while growing up. There is some growth and healing that can only occur in groups! Our support groups are therapeutic in nature. They are not peer led. Instead, they are led by licensed clinicians who use their clinical skills along with their life experience to aid you in your healing. The groups will be kept small so make sure to reserve the dates that work for you in advance.
Unless it is otherwise indicated, the groups are “open” which means there is no commitment to a set number of meetings, you can come to as many or few as needed, and, new participants can join the group at any time (so bring a friend who may need this too). If you purchase a block of 6 classes we offer a 10% discount.
