Anxiety and Teen Girls…why are the numbers rising? Girls age 13-17 are navigating so much in today’s world and it leaves many of them with feelings of low self-worth, being overwhelmed, an overactive mind, pressure to perform, and anxiety about the future.
Does your daughter seem distracted and overwhelmed often? Is she expressing feeling a lot of pressure around her academic or sports performance? Do you notice that the fear and apprehension of social interaction hinders her (not online, but face to face)? We do not believe this needs to be the “new norm” for teens!
This class & support group is led by Hannah Fay, a specialist in child and adolescent therapy and Katie March, a former counselor at Xavier University’s counseling department. Hannah and Katie understand the pressures teen girls are facing. They will help your daughter find new coping strategies for dealing with stress and anxiety while growing up. A Consent Form will be required from parents in order for their minor child to take this class.

Are you looking for continuing education and support around parenting an adopted child? There is so much paperwork and heart-work that goes into adopting so…now that it’s complete, what next? Whether your adoption took place recently or several years ago, parenting adopted children takes mindful awareness and unique strategies to establish and maintain the parent-child connection.
This class will focus on theories and tools as you navigate the unique dynamics of parenting an adopted child. The class is led by Hannah Fay, MSW, child and adolescent therapist who has received training (TBRI certificate and trainer) to specialize in working with adopted children and their families. Hannah is an adoptive parent herself and knows first-hand the importance in finding a safe place to relate, share, and find coping strategies for some of the unique dynamics that occur around adoption. Because we value parents learning these concepts together, if both adoptive parents attend you will get $10 off (total of $80 per parent set). There is some growth and healing that can only occur in groups! Our support groups are therapeutic in nature. They are not peer led. Instead, they are led by licensed clinicians who use their clinical skills along with their life experience to aid you in your healing. The groups will be kept small so make sure to reserve the dates that work for you in advance.
Unless it is otherwise indicated, the groups are “open” which means there is no commitment to a set number of meetings, you can come to as many or few as needed, and, new participants can join the group at any time (so bring a friend who may need this too). If you purchase a block of 6 classes we offer a 10% discount.

Being a single parent is rewarding and difficult on many levels. What do I do with all the guilt I often feel? Do I ever get a break from parenting!? How do I navigate the holidays!? It can feel like a very heavy load. It’s helpful to share your experience, relate and learn with others. This group is facilitated by Gwynn Lamm, LPC, a single parent herself. Gwynn will provide strategies on how to manage the various emotions experienced along the way. Are you feeling tired and alone in your mind-body journey of fertility? Couples and Individuals facing fertility challenges often describe that this journey is marked by feelings of fear, anxiety, worry, loneliness and guilt. They also report feeling misunderstood and find it difficult to talk to family and friends. The inability to achieve a pregnancy can cause a lot of stress on individuals and within relationships. It is helpful to share your personal experience and relate to other women’s journeys in an effort to work towards healing.
Although infertility deeply affects both individuals in a couple, this group will be for the woman who is trying to become physically pregnant. Through group discussions and by connecting with others who are challenged with their family building journey, women will have a safe place to process their challenges and be strengthened by the group experience.
This group is facilitated by Katie March, LPCC. Class discussions will include:

Do you think you, or someone you know, may be struggling with Postpartum Depression (PPD)? Postpartum Depression symptoms range for each affected person. Symptoms of PPD can occur anytime during the first year after delivery, with the highest incidence of onset between 4 and 8 weeks postpartum. Some women may even develop symptoms in the months before childbirth. This support group is designed for Mothers who want to treat or prevent Postpartum Depression. The group is facilitated by Katie March, LPCC who has experience in working with women experiencing Postpartum Depression and Postpartum Anxiety. Through the group discussions and by connecting with others who are experiencing postpartum difficulties, participants will have a safe place to process their challenges and be strengthened by the group experience.
